Teddy Purcell scored his 10th and 11th of the year as Tampa Bay upset the Stars 2-1 in Dallas.
It was the second victory in a row for the Lightning after a seven-game losing streak as Tampa Bay started their brief two-game road trip.
Purcell scored the opener at 18:48 of the first after nice work along the boards by Martin St. Louis who then found his team mate out in from with a backhand pass and Purcell made no mistake beating Kari Lehtonen in the Stars net.

Tom Wandell would tie the game early in the third as the puck went in off his skate, but a little over two minutes later Purcell would strike for the winner again assisted by St. Louis.
The Chicago Blackhawks returned to the top of the Western Conference standings with a 3-1 win over the visiting Florida Panthers.
Jonathan Toews hit his 27th of the year and Duncan Keith and Patrick Kane also tallied as Chicago picked up its third straight.
The Blackhawks are 601.00 to win the Stanley Cup, with the Panthers 601.00.
