The Detroit Lions overcame a 24-point deficit, scoring 17 unanswered in the fourth quarter as they beat the Dallas Cowboys 34-30.
Calvin Johnson scored twice in the fourth, the second with 1.39 to go in the contest on a two-yard pass from Matthew Stafford to complete the comeback. The Detroit quarterback was 21 of 43 for 240 yards on the afternoon including two touchdown throws to Johnson.
Up next for the 4-0 Lions, 1213.00 to win the Super Bowl, are the Chicago Bears who beat Cam Newton and the visiting Carolina Panthers 34-29 at Soldier Field.
Devin Hester scored the 11th punt return touchdown of his career and Matt Forte rumbled for 205 yards on 25 carries as Chicago moved to 2-2 on the campaign.
Detroit are tied atop the NFC North with the Green Bay Packers, 34.00 to win the Super Bowl, who destroyed the Denver Broncos at Lambeau Field. Aaron Rodgers threw for four touchdowns and ran for two more in a record setting day for the Packers quarterback.
