Eighth-ranked Cincinnati face New Mexico

Undefeated and unchallenged through the first 12 games of the season, the Cincinnati Bearcats welcome in the Lobos of New Mexico on Thursday in their final non-conference game.
New Year's Eve Cincinnati will open Big East play in Pittsburgh against the Panthers, but first must be careful not to overlook the Lobos who come into the contest with a 12-1 record. It should have been a clash of unbeaten and ranked sides, but New Mexico was stunned at home by South Dakota State who travelled to the University Arena in Albuquerque and came away 70-65 winners. The Jackrabbits used an eight-man rotation with all five starters playing at least 31 minutes in the upset while holding the Lobos to 37 per cent shooting from the floor.
Elsewhere in a light schedule there's the acronym lovers' delight at the Bankers Life Fieldhouse in Indianapolis when the Jaguars of IUPUI play the Mastodons of IPFW, while BYU will host Northern Arizona at the Marriott Center in Provo, UT. The Lumberjacks are just 4-7 on the year including a blow out defeat to the Colorado Buffaloes last time out, but usually have at least one surprise outing in them each season.
Further out west at the McKeon Pavilion in Moraga CA, Saint Mary's welcome in the Rams of Rhode Island before finishing up their non-conference schedule against Yale and Harvard.
The Bearcats are 1.90 to win with a points spread of -6, while New Mexico are 1.90 to win with a points spread of +6.
