Bobcats welcome Golden State to Charlotte
December 10, 2012 18:20:13 UK
Hammered by the San Antonio Spurs on Saturday, the Charlotte Bobcats attempt to halt a seven-game skid when the Golden State Warriors make their only trip to the Time Warner Cable Arena.
It's a tough assignment for the hosts as Golden State comes into town as the winners of three straight after defeating the Washington Wizards on Saturday. David Lee, Klay Thompson and Stephen Curry continued their fine form of late dropping in 24, 23 and 22 points respectively and when Andrew Bogut returns from injury the Warriors have the look of a very useful side.
The Los Angeles Clippers still lead the Pacific Division by a game over Golden State after crushing the Toronto Raptors on Sunday and now make the trip East to play the Chicago Bulls at the United Center on Tuesday. Also on the road are the Los Angeles Lakers, who are five and a half games behind the Clippers after an upset loss, 117-110 at home to the Utah Jazz. Kobe Bryant led all scorers with 34 points on 9-of-24 shooting, but without Pau Gasol who was sidelined with a knee injury and the continued absence of State Nash, LA is left with Antawn Jamison and Chris Duhon in the starting rotation, which is not a recipe for success.
Monday the San Antonio Spurs and Houston Rockets meet at the Toyota Center. The Rockets fell to the Dallas Mavericks on Saturday, but the Spurs continued their strong start, blasting the Bobcats in Charlotte and San Antonio are one of three sides, the others being Oklahoma City and Atlanta, who are 9-1 in their past 10 outings.
The Heat are 1.75 to win the NBA Championship while the Thunder are 7501.00 and the Lakers are 10001.00.
