Andy Murray knows his hopes of ending the season on a high with victory at the ATP World Tour Finals will depend on him hitting top form as quickly as possible.
Murray, who is 501.00 to take the title at the O2 Arena, has been drawn in a group with world number one Novak Djokovic, David Ferrer and Tomas Berdych and is aiming to come out on top - having reached the semi-finals last year before losing out to Rafael Nadal.

It's one of the biggest tournaments on the tour - you're competing against the top guys.

Murray said ahead of his opening match on Monday: "It's one of the biggest tournaments on the tour - you're competing against the top guys.
"If you can win it's a big achievement, one of the biggest. So there's a real incentive.
"This is different from other tournaments because you have to play well - very good tennis from the first match if you're to have a chance of going through.
"Last year I lost in the semis, but played a great match against Rafa. In some ways maybe losing that match gave me the drive to work harder and make sure things improved.
"As long as I finish the year playing good tennis, that makes a difference going into the off-season."
Murray begins his bid for glory against Spaniard Ferrer and is 1.12 to get off to a winning start, while Ferrer - who has lost his last four meetings with the British number one - is 6.00 to cause a shock and disappoint the home crowd.
