David Ferrer eased past Juan Martin del Potro to reach the last eight at Wimbledon.Spain's David Ferrer will take on British hopeful Andy Murray in the quarter-finals of Wimbledon after a convincing win over Juan Martin del Potro.
Ferrer completed the 6-3 6-2 6-3 victory over the Argentine in just under two hours on Centre Court to set up the meeting with Murray.
Murray and Ferrer have never met in grass but the Spaniard did manage to get the better of the world number four in the quarter-finals of the French Open last month with a 3-1 victory, although the Scot was the first person to win a set against Ferrer at Roland Garros.
Former US Open champion Del Potro never managed to find his best form as he was brushed aside by the world number six, as Ferrer reached the last eight at Wimbledon for the first time in his career.
Murray, who is 3.60 to secure the top prize at SW19, is 1.44 to see off Ferrer on Wednesday, while the Spanish star can be backed at 2.75 to seal victory.
