Redpath issues warning to Sale squad

New Sale Sharks head coach Bryan Redpath has warned his side that they will need to improve to match last season's sixth place finish in the Aviva Premiership.
Redpath has moved north from Gloucester this summer and has high expectations of his new charges, especially given the arrival of the likes of Richie Gray and Danny Cipriani.

We're bringing in some better quality which means everyone must raise their standards.
Bryan Redpath
A forthright Redpath told The Rugby Paper: "In 2006 they won the Premiership and they've underachieved since then. Players who have been here in the past haven't achieved.
"Some of the senior players underachieved and they need to buck up their ideas to stay in the top four or the top six of the Premiership. From my experiences of being there with Gloucester, that's a very hard place to stay.
"The key thing is that we understand that it is going to take another level of hard work and commitment and dedication to do that.
"We're bringing in some better quality which means everyone must raise their standards."
Sale open their Premiership campaign at Exeter Chiefs and are 2.37 to start with a win, while Exeter are 1.80 to triumph on home soil.
