Nathan Fien has held his hands up and admitted his own errors contributed to the Dragons' defeat to the Roosters.
The utility man insists he tried his best, but the mistakes he and his team-mates made were ultimately to blame for the 26-10 defeat at Allianz Stadium.

We got back into it and had our chances but just weren't good enough in the end which is disappointing.

The Roosters were able to run in two unanswered tries before the break, and the Dragons failed to make the most of their attacking chances. Fien, 32, who started as five-eighth for the match, says he took the added responsibility in his stride as he served as a pivot for the injured Jamie Soward.
"The Roosters played a pretty faultless game and didn't make too many mistakes that I can remember," said Fien. "Us on the other hand, we couldn't control the ball as much as we would like and it cost us in the end.
"It would have been nice to go into the half six-nil down with our performance but obviously that try at halftime hurt us.
"We got back into it and had our chances but just weren't good enough in the end which is disappointing."
Fien felt he kicked "fairly well" but made costly errors.
"When you're playing in the halves there's a lot more pressure and you have to take on more responsibility about the outcome of the game," he said.
"All I've ever wanted to be is a player that everyone wanted to play with.
"Whether that was playing at halfback, five-eighth, hooker or coming off the bench, that was my mindset and mentality.
"I was given a role the last few weeks and I enjoyed playing there.
"I've had some pretty good success there over the years but having said that I had a job to do there and I'm disappointed with some of the things that happened."
