Snow Fairy out of Goodwood

Ed Dunlop's brilliant five-year-old Snow Fairy will be an absentee from Glorious Goodwood.
The trainer - having brought the mare back from injury - reckons the meeting will come just a bit too soon and is instead likely to send her to Deauville for a big Group race on 19th August.

Snow Fairy has suffered a serious injury as we all know and I'm taking no chances. She won't be appearing at Glorious Goodwood.

Snow Fairy would have been involved in the Nassau Stakes had she been a Goodwood runner, but Dunlop has decided to err on the side of caution and give his charge a little more time.
He said: "Snow Fairy has suffered a serious injury as we all know and I'm taking no chances. She won't be appearing at Glorious Goodwood.
"I think the likelihood is that she will now get a racecourse gallop before travelling to France (Deauville) for a big race over there on August 19.
"She has been pleasing us at home and is a bigger and stronger horse than she was last year, so we're hopeful of a big run from her across the channel.
"She missed her chance in the race last season, so it would be great if this proved to be her time."
Richard Hughes is 4.50 to be the top jockey at Glorious Goodwood, with Ryan Moore 5.00 and William Buick 4.00.
