Little Bridge produced a fine display to see off Bated Breath and take the King's Stand Stakes at Royal Ascot on Tuesday.
Little Bridge takes the glory in the King's Stand Stakes. It was a closely fought contest in the prestigious race but the 12/1 shot Little Bridge from Hong Kong, trained by Danny C.S. Shum, managed to take the win from Bated Breath (11-2) and Sole Power, who finished second and third respectively.
Former champion jockey Willie Carson was impressed with the run from the eventual runner-up but admitted Little Bridge was the stand-out performer on the day at Ascot.
He said: "It was a lovely run from Bated Breath but he just wasn't quite good enough.
“He was beaten by a better horse on the day. Little Bridge was too good and too fast for them all."
