West Ham United have completed the signing of Wolves winger Matt Jarvis, for a fee that could eventually reach around £10million.
Sam Allardyce is delighted to have snapped up Matt Jarvis. The 26-year-old wideman head to Upton Park for an initial fee of £7.5million, with Irons manager Sam Allardyce confident that Jarvis will give his side an extra attacking dimension.
He told the Evening Standard: "He is a player who has proved he can really deliver in the final third on a regular basis and that will be a key element to us scoring and creating goals.
"I do believe Matt will considerably improve our attacking ability this season, create chances and help us score the goals we need to do well."
Jarvis has spent the last five years at Molineux, having started his career at Gillingham, while he has won one cap for England - in a friendly against Ghana in March 2011.
The Hammers started life back in the Premier League with a 1-0 win at home to Aston Villa last weekend and will be hoping to build on that when they head to the Liberty Stadium for a Saturday lunchtime kick-off.
Allardyce's men are 3.30 to secure a draw in South Wales, while they are 3.75 to keep a clean sheet, with the game 10.00 to end goalless.
