Juan Mata scored Chelsea's winner at the Emirates.Chelsea boss Roberto Di Matteo believes his side were deserved winners over Arsenal in Saturday's lunchtime kick-off.
The Blues continued their fine start to the season with a 2-1 away victory at the Emirates, thanks to goals from Fernando Torres and Juan Mata.
I think it's very difficult when you come to the Emirates and they're a good side but I thought we were excellent today.
Di Matteo also believe that he was right to start with John Terry, who was handed a four-match ban and fined £220,000 earlier this week after being found guilty of racially abusing QPR’s Anton Ferdinand.
The former England captain is still deciding whether he will appeal his ban.
His Italian boss said: "It was the right choice to pick him.
"John once again showed his leadership qualities and just what a good defender he is."
He added: "I thought we played very well today and deserved to win the game.
"I think it's very difficult when you come to the Emirates and they're a good side but I thought we were excellent today."
The win keeps Chelsea top of the league after six games.
The Blues can be backed at 251.00 to win the Premier League this season, while Di Matteo's outfit are 10001.00 to defend their Champions League trophy.
