Arsenal boss Arsene Wenger accepts that his side will find it difficult to challenge for honours this season after losing star striker Robin van Persie.
The Dutchman, who scored 30 Premier League goals last term, is set to join Manchester United in a £24million deal, leaving the Gunners shorn of the services of their main marksman.

He can score goals and create them as well - they are the type of players who do win you titles.

Arsenal are now 751.00 to win the league title, with United 1.002 and reigning champions Manchester City 51.00.
A realistic Wenger said: "It is another pill to swallow, we have swallowed other ones and we have always survived, but he scored 30 goals for us in the league last season, practically one every match.
"The economic factor is the sole satisfying thing, but you don't play with money on the pitch, you play with the quality of the players. To lose a player of this ilk is tough."
Meanwhile, Red Devils striker Danny Welbeck believes that Van Persie, 2.10 to be top-scorer in the Premier League, could be just the man to help United win back the league crown which they lost to neighbours City on goal difference.
Despite facing a more difficult battle to secure a starting spot at Old Trafford, Welbeck said: "He's a world-class striker.
"He can score goals and create them as well - they are the type of players who do win you titles."
