Rodgers warns of quiet January

Liverpool manager Brendan Rodgers has warned the club's fans there will not be a huge number of new arrivals in the January transfer window.
Rodgers' side sit 10th in the Premier League table, level on points with Norwich, and are eight off fourth-placed Spurs. The Reds have been linked with moves for Chelsea's Daniel Sturridge and Blackpool's Tom Ince, but it seems that will be the limit of their transfer window dealings.
In terms of this season, it was always on the understanding it was going to be tight in terms of finance.Brendan Rodgers
"We won't be overly busy in January but some reinforcements will be nice, just the addition of some firepower to help us at the top end of the field," admitted Rodgers, whose side are 301.00 to finish in the top four.
"There won't be a great deal of business done, we are probably just trying to get some of the business done which we hoped to do in the summer.
"The budget was going to be tight this year, for a number of reasons, but we will be doing something because it is the need of the group.
"From next season the purse strings should loosen a bit more but, in terms of this season, it was always on the understanding it was going to be tight in terms of finance."
Liverpool will hope to bounce back from the 3-1 defeat at Stoke when they travel to QPR on Sunday. They are 8.50 to win 2-1, while a 2-2 draw is available at 13.00.
