Owen Coyle has confirmed Bolton have agreed a fee with Chelsea for the sale of Gary Cahill.
The two clubs had opened talks over the transfer of the England defender last week and it now seems certain he will soon be on his way to Stamford Bridge for a fee believed to be in the region of £7million.
"There has been a fee agreed between the clubs and we have now given Gary's representatives permission to speak to Chelsea," said Coyle ahead of the visit of Wolves to the Reebok Stadium on New Year's Eve.

We obviously have a game tomorrow and I have said to Gary that he has to be focused on giving everything for Bolton Wanderers.

"That is where we are with it. We obviously have a game tomorrow and I have said to Gary that he has to be focused on giving everything for Bolton Wanderers, because he knows Bolton Wanderers have been terrific for him just as much as Gary has been for us.
"That is why they have representatives - to sort that out - and whatever 1st January brings, it will bring."
Cahill joined Bolton in January 2008 for £5million from Aston Villa, and made his debut for England in March 2011. The sale of the 26-year-old will bring in funds to enable the club to strengthen as they battle to avoid relegation, as they sit 19th in the table and are 1.36 to drop into the Championship.
The Trotters are 8.50 to defeat Wolves 1-0 and are 3.25 to keep a clean sheet. A 2-2 draw can be backed at 12.00.
