After putting pen to paper on a two-year extension that will keep him with Jose Mourinho's side until the end of the 2015-16 season, Arbeloa said: "I am more than happy. It is a pride and an honour for me to be a part of this club.
"To be able to extend my contract by two years, until 2016, is a source of absolute joy. I am delighted that the club has faith in me and l hope it continues."
Real will be chasing glory in La Liga and the Champions League in the 2012-13 campaign. Mourinho's side are 67.00 to retain the domestic title they claimed last term while main rivals Barcelona can be backed at 1.001.
Real were beaten by Bayern Munich in the semi-finals of last season's Champions League and are 101.00 to win Europe's premier competition for the first time since 2002, when they beat Bayer Leverkusen in the final, this term.
