Hughes excited by Warner call-up

Australian opener Phil Hughes is thrilled to see his close friend David Warner get selected for the Test team.
Phil Hughes is relishing opening the batting with David Warner.Hughes himself is also quite a stroke-playing batsman, but when compared to Warner, his batting aggression seems far too moderate.
In his young career, Hughes has opened the batting for Australia with established batsmen like Simon Katich and Shane Watson and he believes that his NSW team-mate Warner is fully capable of sharing the top spot with him for a long time.
"I've spent a fair bit of time with him in New South Wales and we're great mates," Hughes said.
"We seem to have had a decent partnership for New South Wales, so hopefully we can take that into the first Test this week. I think he's in the form of his life.
"He'll play his natural game and go out there and enjoy it. I just can't wait to be there. Hopefully we can spend some good quality time together.
He continued: "It's the first time (being the senior opener) has happened. I've played a few Tests but it's quite bizarre. I remember opening with Simon Katich and then Watto (Shane Watson) and now Davo. It's exciting."
Australia are 1.90 to win the first Test against New Zealand which starts in Brisbane on Thursday, with Hughes 5.00 to be his side's top first innings run scorer and Warner 5.00.
